My dear, my love, the apple of my eye,

I could not tell you what you mean to me.

As precious as the sunset’s golden sky

And perfect as an English cup of tea.

I can’t express how high you lift me up

When all you do is walk into the room.

You overflow my broken empty cup

And sweep away my sadness and my gloom.

In death, in life, we’ll always be as one—

At six feet under, still as close as twins.

And when the day is out and life is done

Our blessings will outnumber all our sins.

My sweet, my darling, you surpass them all,

And I would die if I should see you fall.
